Task Force releases consensus document aimed at erasing unmet needs

What’s in this report?

In 2022, a panel of 14 optometrists set out to simplify and standardize diabetic retinopathy assessment and management to avoid preventable vision loss.

“Our goal was to elevate the standard of care with proper management and vigilance, even given the challenges posed by today’s busy healthcare environments,” says Task Force Director, Paul Chous, MA, OD, FAAO.

This document presents a framework that will radically simplify DR management so that optometrists can confidently care for the growing population of patients with diabetes.
