Pattern (ERG) Electroretinography
What is Pattern ERG?
(PERG)
Changing the pattern of the light stimulus allows for different portions of the retina to be studied. In Pattern ERG (PERG), the light stimulus is an alternating checkerboard pattern which evokes electrical responses from the ganglion cells composing the inner retina.[7]
PERG is commonly used as a test for disorders affecting ganglion cells, such as glaucoma and many neurodegenerative disorders.[8]
