Major Milestone:
RETeval Handheld ERG/VEP Device Referenced in 200 Publications
GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND, USA, July, 2024 – LKC Technologies, a leader in functional testing using electroretinography (ERG), announces a significant milestone: The RETeval® handheld ERG/VEP device has been referenced in more than 200 publications! This achievement underscores the growing recognition of RETeval as a valuable aid in the diagnosis and management of retina and optic nerve diseases.
In the past six months alone, numerous studies have been published, highlighting the diverse applications of RETeval in advancing patient care. From innovative diabetes and glaucoma assessments to evaluation of patients with autism and attention deficit disorders, RETeval continues to demonstrate its versatility and clinical utility.
“This abundance of clinical research combined with the ease of use of this handheld ERG into diverse clinical workflows has led to a remarkable spike in adoption of the RETeval device,” says LKC Chief Executive Officer, Dina Dubey.
Pamela Weber, MD, of Vitreoretinal Consultants of NY, started working with the RETeval during a drug trial. Now she uses it in routine clinical practice to track which patients need an intervention for diabetic retinopathy and to evaluate how patients are responding to treatment. “I use the device on diabetic patients to track functional changes in the retina,” she says. “I also find it helpful in uveitis, vein occlusions, hereditary degenerative conditions, and even in patients with infectious diseases, such as toxoplasmosis.”
